Prevent Prostate Cancer

Can You Prevent Prostate Cancer?

Can you prevent prostate cancer from developing inside you? While there are no guarantees in life, researchers are inclined to answer with a qualified yes to that question.

There are factors that you have no control over. The main factor is age, and the risk of getting prostate cancer increases with age. Your heritage, your family history and the types of foods you have eaten to date. Studies have shown that African-American men are more prone to developing prostate cancer than any other identifiable group. By contract, Asian men living inAsiashow the lowest risk of developing it. Interestingly enough, Asian men living in North America,  who are accustomed to a western diet, are just as likely to develop prostate cancer as Caucasian men living in the same society.

And this fact has led researchers to conclude that the typical western diet inNorth Americacan put you on a fast track to developing prostate cancer.

Diet

It's no secret that an active lifestyle and nutritional diet lead to good health. This is true with prostate cancer prevention as well. Studies have shown some foods readily available in grocery stores are beneficial avoiding the onset of prostate cancer. Just as true, some foods actually encourage the growth of cancerous cells.
